Bashurhat is a rapidly growing coastal town of Noakhali, Bangladesh,the administrative headquaters of Companigonj Upazila and Bashurhat Pourashava.The pourashava was established in 1990 and falls under category: class 'A'.The town is thriving as the most important business hub in entire Noakhali. Most of the public and private bank,insurance company, NGO and other social and business organizations have their regional office or branch in here.
